It is highly recommended that you have your boiler serviced every year to help maintain it whilst identifying and fixing any issues – Just like you do for your car and the annual MOT.

Also, almost all new boilers require an annual service to keep your warranty valid.

What happens during a boiler service?

During your boiler service, I will carry out various tests to ensure that your boiler is working safely and properly.

During your boiler service I will carry out a 19 Point Service Check:

Leak Checks – Check for gas leaks.
Visual Checks – Look for obvious faults & leaks.
Burner – Checked and where required cleaned.
Flame – Ignition components and flames are checked and adjusted.
Flue Check – To ensure all the dangerous fumes are safely flued out.
Flue Gas Analyser – Computer check to ensure combustion is safe.
Safety Checks – Ensure all your boiler safety components are working.
Pressure Check – Central heating pressure is checked and adjusted.
Condensate Trap – Trap is cleaned and checked.
Gas Rate – Where possible check boiler gas consumption.
Fan – Carry out Fan Pressure Test / Condition.
Magnetic Filter – Where installed the filter is cleaned.
Pressures – Checked to ensure they are correct.
Seals – Checked for leaks and bonding.
Controls – All controls checked and if needed adjusted.
Radiators – Checked, and bleed if needed.
Electrical – Ensure electrical connections are correct/safe.
Clean – General internal boiler clean.
Expansion Vessel – Check pressure

(Any replacement seals/parts required I will inform you before changing & will be additional.)
